I can't believe it. There aren't any words describe the feeling of being able to see the time on my alarm clock as soon as I wake up instead of grabbing it and putting it literally two inches in front of my face and fumbling for my glasses or not having to pack my contact lenses/solution/glasses for a trip. Eight hours after the surgery, I had a follow up exam and could see well enough to pass a driving test. By the following day I was seeing more clearly than I ever thought possible and by the following week I was at 20/20! I didn't think Lasik was a possibility for someone like me with a VERY high degree of nearsightedness plus astigmatism. I have been wearing glasses and contacts for almost 20 years so I wanted the best doctor to evaluate me and tell me no if the procedure was going to be too risky. Dr. Gilbert is highly accredited but also conservative and realistic, which I appreciated. There is no pressure to do the surgery if you are uncertain at all even after your evaluation. There are a lot of "deals" for Lasik but I didn't want to price shop when it came to my eyes. I am an advocate of Dr. Gilbert's work trust him enough to have referred him to my own husband and several friends. The results have been more than I could ever have hoped for. Thank you!
