Keratoconus

Keratoconus is the progressive thinning of the cornea that can cause changes to the cornea's refractive power leading to astigmatism or nearsighted vision. Specially designed contact lens may be made to reduce the vision impairment.

Northwest Vision specializes in the fit and design of these specialty lenses. Computerized corneal mapping is done to determine the degree of keratoconus and to assist the doctors with a course of treatment.
