Cataract surgery is a common outpatient procedure performed to remove and replace your eye’s natural lens. Advanced intraocular lens (IOL)  technology allow for patients to choose from a range of vision options at the time of cataract surgery. Cataract procedures are performed in our Bellevue ambulatory surgery center, Northwest Laser & Surgery Center.

Refractive lens exchange (RLE) is a type of ocular surgery that replaces the eye’s natural lens with a clear implantable lens. The goal of a RLE is to markedly reduce the need for single vision glasses, bifocals, progressive lenses, trifocals, contact lenses, and reading glasses. Surgically, a RLE is the same procedure as cataract surgery but performed prior to cataract development.

Myopia management is a treatment program prescribed to slow down myopic progression. Our providers offer several options for myopia management including MiSight lenses,  atropine therapy and CRT lens wear.
